040. Reclaim Your Wealth with Kat Daaca

FACT: We can ask the universe whatever we want. Although, we don’t fully appreciate that power because we are restrained by the stereotypes and cultural ideologies instilled in us, especially in the BIPOC community. 

This episode will tackle how we can start reclaiming our wealth through the guidance of Kat Daaca. 

Kat Daaca SCMP is a negotiations educator, consultant, and speaker specializing in decolonized negotiation strategies. In 2022 she launched Reclaim Your Wealth, a workshop for the BIPOC community to explore their beliefs around negotiation and learn the skills to use negotiation to inspire daily acts of liberation. 

The workshop has since expanded to include racially informed courses, training, and consulting services that use decolonized negotiation strategies to empower racialized folks to better self-advocate for themselves in the colonial spaces. 

In 2020, after working ten years in supply chain management and in the middle of a global pandemic, Kat quit her corporate job and started Kanekta, the first and only Filipina-Canadian-owned supply chain management consulting company. 

She is presently the Vice-President of the Manitoba Filipino Business Council, as part of the council’s first-ever female-majority board of directors, and a Chairperson for Kultivation FAMD, a grassroots volunteer-driven group promoting the modern cultural scene in Manitoba’s Filipino community.
